'Green Man’ original A2 screen print. The Green Man is one of the oldest pagan symbols that is still widely seen decorating churches to this day, a practise dating back to the times of the Reformation. It’s seen as a symbol of nature worship, new beginnings and spring. He seems to appear in places where they were stretches of ancient woodland, such as in Devon and Somerset, and on edges of the forest areas of Yorkshire and the Midlands. Edition of 30 - these prints are created from my own original drawings, and each one is screen printed by myself. They are then titled and signed in pencil. Printed onto heavyweight Somerset paper, and each print measures 594 x 420mm with a hand torn edge. There may be slight variations in each print due to the print being hand-printed - it only ensures you have a completely unique print! The screen print will be wrapped in tissue paper and a thank-you postcard will be inside. They will be packaged in a hard-backed envelope to avoid damage on their way to you.
