A6 Greeting Card of the original screenprint 'Green Man'. The Green Man is one of the oldest pagan symbols that is still widely seen decorating churches to this day, a practise dating back to the times of the Reformation. It’s seen as a symbol of nature worship, new beginnings and spring. He seems to appear in places where they were stretches of ancient woodland, such as in Devon and Somerset, and on edges of the forest areas of Yorkshire and the Midlands. Original illustration digitally printed on to lovely 300gsm off-white Tintoretto Gesso paper, with a dappled finish. The story behind the print is on the back of the greeting card.
