‘Magpies’ A3 print. Magpies in British folklore tend to be seen as harbingers of ill-fortune. Saluting a lone magpie is an old English tradition which is said to keep bad luck at bay. This custom may have come from the well-known rhyme: ‘One for sorrow Two for joy Three for a girl Four for a boy Five for silver Six for gold Seven for a story never to be told’ Digitally printed on to FSC certified cotton 250gsm paper, using the highest quality organic pigments. Your print will be wrapped in tissue paper and includes a story card which describes the individual story behind the artwork. The print will be packaged in a hard-backed envelope or tube to avoid damage on its way to you.
