Morrígan / Irish Raven Warrior Goddess Folklore Illustration A3 Print

£30.00

‘Morrígan’ A3 print. An Irish goddess of war and destiny, who often appears in the form of a raven. She was known to fortell doom, death and victory in war - instilling both fear and bravery in those who witnessed her flying alongside them during battle. She’s sometimes linked to the banshee of Irish folklore, too. Ravens have gotten an ominous reputation throughout history - their diet of carrion ensured they would be present during times of death such as war or famine. Their ability to mimic human speech and their intelligence also earned them an association with prophecy within myth and folklore. Digitally printed on to FSC certified cotton 250gsm paper, using the highest quality organic pigments. Your print will be wrapped in tissue paper and includes a story card which describes the individual story behind the artwork. The print will be packaged in a hard-backed envelope or tube to avoid damage on its way to you. If the print is a gift, please send me a message as I will happily write a custom note to include in the package for the recipient. Please note that the poster frame in the image is not included in the print. If you need any advice on framing, please don't hesitate to ask! All Rights Reserved © 2024 abbielois / Abbie Lois
